Load shedding and ramping is available in Tripp Lite’s Uninterruptible Power Supplies or Power Distribution Units, with controllable outlets. These devices are further classified as either autonomous or non-autonomous.
An autonomous device is capable of storing and executing load shedding and ramping configurations independent of a SNMPWEBCARD or PowerAlert software application running on a PC connected to the device via a USB/serial connection. The following is a list of available autonomous devices.

Configuration of ramping and shedding on PDU devices is supported only through a SNMPWEBCARD.
NOTE: On any autonomous devices utilizing a SNMPWEBCARD, disconnect the network cable before utilizing the RS232 connection on the UPS.
UPS systems that have controllable outlets but not listed above are considered to be non-autonomous. These devices require the presence of a SNMPWEBCARD and only allow for configuration of a load shedding sequence.
The shedding menu allows for configuration of an outlet shedding sequence upon loss of primary AC power. When primary AC power is lost, backup power will be supporting the attached equipment via the internal batteries of the UPS. A primary benefit of configuring an outlet-shed sequence is it to decrease the load on the UPS and increase the battery life available to the rest of the equipment. Enable load shedding by selecting the each controllable outlet should take upon loss of primary AC power and the delay in seconds to wait before the outlet turns off. Click the apply button to save the settings. After making any changes to ramping and shedding please wait a few minutes for the settings to be applied. To disable load shedding reset all of the outlet actions to remain on.
