By default PowerAlert is configured to shutdown the operating system two minutes after the UPS begins running off of its batteries and turn off the UPS after it has been on battery for six minutes.

Notification-Send an email message to a person in your contact list. To enable email notification double click on the notification action to bring up the configuration screen. Highlight a contact or contacts and set the timer delay to define how long to wait before an email is sent. Add email contacts may be added from the Settings-Contacts menu on the email tab.

SNMP- Send an SNMP trap to an IP address. Available when setup as business power scheme. To enable SNMP traps  double click on the SNMP action to bring up the configuration screen. Set SNMP OID - Perform a SNMP set action on a SNMP capable device on the network.  This feature may be used to notify a device on the network that a power event has occurred allowing that device to be take whatever action it needs to.  An example of how this could be used is to notify a Cisco Unity Express system to that the UPS is on battery allowing the system to gracefully shutdown the system
