Tripp Lite Introduces New Serial Console Servers
Next-Generation Models Upgrade Connectivity, Speed, Memory, Storage and Manageability
Chicago, IL (October 10, 2018)—Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power and connectivity solutions, has introduced five new serial console servers for remote in-band and out-of-band access to serial- and network-connected IT devices. Joining Tripp Lite’s existing line, the new models add upgrades like Gigabit Ethernet, SFP fiber ports, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and USB console connectivity.
“The new models build on the strengths of our field-proven console servers,” said David Posner, Tripp Lite’s Director of Product Marketing, Connectivity. “With more connectivity options and higher speed, they provide IT managers with the ultimate tool for remote device management, troubleshooting and recovery. Even during network outages, IT managers can access all their essential devices from any location through a single pane of glass.”
“IoT and edge computing are driving IT decentralization,” said Shane Kilfoil, Tripp Lite Senior Vice President of Global Sales. “Research from Gartner predicts that data processed by devices outside the core data center or cloud will grow from 10 percent now to 50 percent by 2022. Our new console servers will help IT managers manage this growing device footprint.”
