Managing PDUs Just Got Easier with Tripp Lite’s LX Platform & LCD Touchscreens
Chicago, IL (August 14, 2018)—Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity solutions, has introduced a selection of 3-phase monitored and switched PDUs with new features to improve load monitoring: a mobile-friendly HTML5-based LX Platform interface and an intuitive touchscreen LCD.
These innovative monitoring features make the new vertical PDUs essential for data centers, computer rooms and high-density network closets.
The new 3-phase PDUs have a built-in LX Platform interface that is HTML5-based, so it does not require Java. The interface supports complete remote access for power monitoring and email notifications via a secure web browser, SNMP, telnet or SSH.
“The LX Platform interface provides a hassle-free user experience for convenient remote monitoring,” said David Slotten, Tripp Lite Vice President of Product Marketing. “Particularly with the switched models, the ability to effectively manage power from a remote location reduces the need for on-site visits by IT personnel. This, in turn, can lower maintenance costs and total cost of ownership, making these PDUs a worthwhile investment.”
For enhanced local monitoring, the new touchscreen LCD features intuitive, easy-to-navigate menus. It reports detailed network information, input per phase, output per load bank and output per outlet (varies by model). The touchscreen LCD can also generate a unique QR code to allow read-only access to the PDU via a mobile device.
When used with optional EnviroSense2 sensors, the LX Platform interface and touchscreen LCD can provide monitoring of temperature, humidity and dry contact connections.
